It is one of the few foundations in the United States dedicated solely to the support of music and music education.

11/17/08 - The 2008 National Medal of the Arts was presented to The Presser Foundation by President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush in an East Room ceremony at the White House. The National Endowment for the Arts organizes and oversees the nomination process and notifies the artists of their selection to receive a medal, the nation’s highest honor for artistic excellence.
