The Presser Foundation Will Give $1.25 Million In General Operating Support Grants to Music Organizations
The Presser Foundation is pleased to announce another round of general operating support grants totaling $1,250,000 to 109 music organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area. The number of music organizations given to is the most in the Foundation’s history in this grantmaking area, and their focus and size vary a great deal. Organizations with budget sizes ranging from $15,000 to $54 million and with focuses on classical, jazz, Jewish-themed, Hispanic, and Brazilian music received funding. The Foundation is proud to support small, medium, and large music organizations working to make a difference in their community while significantly contributing to music and the arts in Greater Philadelphia.
William B. McLaughlin, III, Chair of the Advancement of Music Committee, commented, “Facing a myriad of challenges, music organizations in Greater Philadelphia continue to adapt and innovate. The Presser Foundation is pleased to support music organizations of all shapes and sizes as they reach a variety of people and bring music into their communities.
