The Presser Foundation is saddened to share that Henderson “Woozy” Supplee III, long-time Trustee and former President of the Foundation, died on August 23, 2022. Woozy joined the Board in 1973 and served for more than 40 years until June 2014. For 14 of these years, he served as President.
He graduated from Princeton University in 1951 and last worked at Penn Mutual. His career was largely in the financial sector, specifically in the field of insurance.
From Board President Dr. Jeffrey Cornelius: “The Presser Foundation is much the richer for [Woozy’s] half century of exemplary and selfless service to the cause of music philanthropy. Despite our sadness at his loss, we are so grateful we knew him. His is a life to be celebrated.”
