Our Communications Philosophy

Why communicate?

The Foundation strongly believes that open communication leads to transparency. Being transparent about what we fund, who we fund, why we fund them, and more leads to greater accountability and trust. Just as we strongly support an open-door policy (reach out and connect with us at any point in time!), we want to openly share about our activities, as well as our thoughts on philanthropy and how the field can move forward.

We also communicate to amplify the work of the individuals and music organizations we support. There are a multitude of incredible, music-focused organizations within a 75-mile radius of Philadelphia. They have done and are doing amazing things to create and share music with others, and we are proud of their efforts and thrilled to partner with them. In addition, we want to share the work of both undergraduate and graduate students across the county who are pursuing music studies and music careers. By sharing information about these accomplished students, we hope to demonstrate that the field is thriving and has a great deal of potential in the future.

Mr. Presser used his publication The Etude to communicate with music professionals across the country. At his foundation, we hope to communicate by sharing the creativity and talents of people, organizations, and communities who are making a difference every day.
