Last year, The Presser Foundation launched a graduate music student fellowship. The Fellow attends and writes about grantee performances/programs for the Foundation’s communication platforms. This work increases the Foundation’s transparency, amplifies grantee partners, and gives the Fellow the opportunity to learn about music organizations, connect with leaders in the field, and contribute to the Foundation’s grantmaking decisions.
Baker Purdon, a PhD candidate in Music Education and Choral Conducting at Temple University, was chosen as the first Fellow. He has used his music knowledge and experience to inform his understanding of the music performed and presented by the Foundation’s partners.
